8 Books I Hope to Find Under My Tree (Are You Listening, Santa?) | Top Ten Tuesday
Merry Christmas! Or, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays! We have very little snow here and two sick kiddos, but we’re keeping our spirits up. By the time you read this post, Santa will have already left the building and there may be a few new additions to my bookshelf and Mister Chu and Lady Quinn’s 🙂

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen has been on my TBR since I first heard about it this year. It’s become incredibly popular in such a short time (which usually makes me want to steer clear of it) but I am so intrigued that it has managed to stay at the top of my list.
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn is a book I have to admit I know next to nothing about. But it has come up again and again in book reviews I’ve caught glimpses of. Intriguing, to say the least. And that cover just pulls me in. Original and it almost makes me think of that old movie Rear Window. You know, the one where the guy has a broken leg or something and he’s cooped up in his apartment with a pair of binoculars and he thinks he sees one of his neighbors murder his wife! Somehow, that’s what this book cover makes me think of.
Circe by Madeline Miller is another one I can’t wait to get my hands on! Do I need to sound like all I judge books by is their covers? This one is uber gorgeous! Have you guys seen it? Greek gods. I’m hooked. I love absolutely everything that has to do with Greek gods (Percy Jackson nerd here!)
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi seemingly has it all. Black magic, a rogue princess, a ruthless king. What’s not to like? I’m eager to give this one a read in 2019! Santa, are you listening?
It’s Children’s Book Tuesday here at the Ginger Mom, so of course we have some picture books on our Christmas list (perk your ears up, Santa!)
Wordy Birdy by Tammi Sauer seems like an adorably quirky book. All you have to do is look at the cover and you’re drawn in! Wordy Birdy loves to chat, more than she loves to listen. Sounds EXACTLY like my two little ones. They should really enjoy this one 🙂
Giraffe Problems by Jory John reminds me a lot of another giraffe book we read earlier this year and absolutely adored! The kids loved that quirky giraffe and this book promises to be just as hilarious.
The Legend of the Bluebonnet by Tomie dePaola was one of my favorite books as a child, mostly because of Reading Rainbow. It’s one I have wanted to share with my children for a very long time and it’s definitely on our reading list for 2019!
How to Code a Sandcastle by Josh Funk. Coding for little kids? A little girl and her robot are going to use computer coding to build a sandcastle, because she’s getting irritated with all the people and elements keeping her from building it. I guess everyone is a tech-head these days 😉
That’s our list. A little for me, a little for them. Not quite 10 but all books that we’re eager to read in 2019. Now that you’ve seen our list, what books are you hoping Santa will leave under your tree?
